For the cheap bazterds like me out there...

There is a Motel 6 just a few blocks away from the convention center right above Denny's.

Was $75 a night and the water worked fine :)

I stayed there for one night with Beyonder a few years ago as we rolled into town at 4:00 AM and even the Denny's was closed so we couldn't drink and didn't want to pay for an extra night at the Courtyard for a few hours sleep...scariest night of my life. Hell wasonff (Drew) felt safer sleeping in the car

Jim

Admittedly... you have to be hard core to stay at this Motel 6

But at $56 a night... the savings could really add up.

If you live :o

Fer cryin' out loud, the hotel is in Rosemont not the west side of Chicago. It's not like the guy next door has a meth lab set up or MS 13 is gonna target you for assassination

I would almost pay to see you take Greggy on a stroll through Englewood. I wouldn't go there on a bet :fear:

Even though I don't really like Lichtenstein's artwork, his prints will exhibited at Chicago's downtown Fine Art Institute in Aug., 2012. Lots to see and do at Navy Pier as usual. e.g. Beauty and the Beast live play.

Could someone post when 4 star hotels in O'hare drop to $60/night or less? :wishluck: Need more $$ for comics.

the taxes alone will be 60 bucks.

the town is Rosemont. it is corrupt, like everywhere else with in a 20 mile radius of chicago, corruption and taxes run rampant.

and the love to profiteer, looking at the cost of a room today, vs. the aug 11 weekends, there is a 60 dollar jump in price per night.
