Bingo. The qualities I like in a SA book are cover gloss, white pages, and a lack of any tanning on the inside covers.

 

If I can find books with those qualities that are VG-F because they have some general spine wear and a corner crease I'm happy as a clam to buy them.

 

Likewise, a structurally nice 9.0 book with no gloss and tanning inside covers will not be worth the money to me.

 

I love WHITE pages. Most of the time, that trumps the number grade for me. Within reason of course :)

There is no magical threshold for books that will be easy to move vs. books that won't.

 

It's not about what grade or book you buy, it's about what price you pay for whatever you choose. Well priced books will always be moveable.
