Topcat - Don't bring my name into this, bro.

-slym (out again)

I like the angry tone, then the bro (Thumbs u

Bye Slym, sad to see you go

Thought you were no longer in this thread?????????????????????????????????

I PMd you, trying to keep this private, but fine. Here we go.

You are WAY off base, mister. Don't EVER use my name to advance your cause like that, what I was saying before I left and what you are doing right now are so far apart it's ridiculous. I came here to have you NOT dragging my name through your mud so you can whine about an offer that was taken off the table before you could claim it.

Don't be a child. Take a chill pill and come back, if these guys will have you. I know I certainly wouldn't, but if you can't tell, I am in a total "not taking anyone's mess" mood today.

Were I you TopCat, I would apologize and move on.

I personally would like to apologize myself. I was an insufficiently_thoughtful_person. While I personally believe TopCat deserved every word I said, and more, but I could have said it in a far kinder way. I apologize for TopCat for being rude, and I apologize to the PIF members for letting my temper get the better of me.

I would think the moral of the story is read before posting. By chance the item was removed while you were typing then act like a normal human being and 99.9% of the time the PIFer would most likely put WINNAH when they saw you wanted it.

WTF just happened here while I was readying my offer? lol Topcat, please don't take my offer. :screwy:

It took a while, but I had to photo (mostly) ten options, write descriptions, grade and so on.

I'll be posting it at exactly 8:00 PM CST so hopefully whatever the heck just occured has died down by then.

Only saying 1 more thing Show me in the rules wher you can put up a temp offering and then PULL it and I quote

I discovered this idea on cards forum and thought it might be fun.

Maybe this has been tried before, I don't know... But let's give it a shot!

Here is the deal: I'm going to give away this book to the first person who wants it and posts . Free, including shipping. In turn, that person MUST offer a book(s) free to the next taker by posting on this thread, and so on, and so on. While it does not have to be of exact equal value of what you took, please offer quality book(s) that someone can appreciate.

RULES:

-You must not be on the Hall of Shame list or be in poor standing on the boards

-You must have at least 50 posts

-If you claim some book(s), you must post your offering within 24 hours

-Only one offer at a time. No new book(s) can be posted until the existing offer has been claimed

-Post pics or scans of the book(s) you're giving away. Cell phone pics are fine

-Don't take book(s) if you've got nothing to offer in return

-Ship book(s) quickly so people aren't left hanging. No later than two weeks after someone claims your offer.

-Only one every 7 days per member. However, if an item is not claimed within 24 hours, anyone is welcome to take it (no matter when they last claimed book(s). Just don't be greedy!

-Please do not discuss the value of the book(s) being offered. If you don't like them, you don't have to take them

-You can ONLY "take" a book after it has been listed.

-Be honest

-Have fun!

To start this off, I'm offering a comic art book. Details can be found at this link:

No, the moral is take an item, post an offer. I don't think anyone was being malicious and if the item was posted this would not have been an issue.

This guy missed the post removing the offer offered minutes prior and then was attacked when he was disappointed.

Oh you know what, I genuinely don't give a ballsack either way. Every time I try again it's another problem.

Good luck.

I posted a mystery box as a time saver and yes it would have been awesome. I pulled the mystery box because I knew that I was going to have to spend 30 minutes or more readying my offer. I come back and...

I can't believe I am still here... but show me where, in that list of rules, it says it is expressly prohibited from taking down an offer and putting up a different one.

Please.

*EDIT* The "one offer at a time" rule is so two or more people aren't posting clashing offers, so that won't work for you in this case.

Except he did not have disappointment. He FREAKED OUT. THAT was the problem. The freaking out was not appropriate, mature, or acceptable.

Really? I am surprised that you would justify his reaction. If he didn't see the post then no big deal. A normal reaction would be to say, "if it is still available I will take it." Not fill the screen with ?????? and start internet screaming. How is that acceptable behavior? That is what caused people to "attack" him.

After you misbehaved. Note how we started out nice and tried to calm you down, and as you began to blatantly disregard or warnings and advice, we got angry. Sounds reasonable (shrug)
