hopefully potential offerers don't let it get that far... i think some people just wanted a more concrete system to give some ... impetus... to get their offers taken. No system is perfect.... but this seems like an improvement.

Seems like a good way to comic you missed...

Just wait 4 days and BAMM there it is again. [/quote

If a good offer was placed on the board, I seriously doubt that all of the members of this thread are going to let it sit there for four days on the off chance that the old offer might come available so that they will have a chance to possibly claim it. The only people who would do that in my opinion are truly greedy people, not the board as a whole.

Offers have almost never sat for four days, only a handful of times, and with the new rules, people have more incentive to offer up better stuff to make sure that doesn't happen. I doubt we're going to see anything hit four days under the new rules.

And what happens if shazzam is hit by lightning? Or shazzam turns out to be a vampire who can't hit the USPS during daytime hours?

To answer your question (which has been answered 20+ times) nothing happens and the rule only drops one-step back. Clear? shazzam still has to keep sweetening the pot until it's accepted, but he's not punished for someone else's transgression.

Exactly, and these adjusted rules are intended to make PIF run even smoother, with even less incidence of offers just sitting there for weeks. If people know they have a 4-day window, we'll see less "you know what".

If people actually did that, then PIF is chock full greedy SOBs, so there are no rules that can change that total lack of ethics.

I believe otherwise, and that there is no way that 100% of PIF participants would stoop that low to just get a chance at snagging a great offer. And it would have to 100% to work, which also means total PIF collusion.
