REMAINING SKETCHES HAVE BEEN SIGNIFICANTLY DISCOUNTED FOR THE LAST DAY OF THE SALES THREAD.

 

 

John Romita Jr. broke the world record for "most continuous cartooning" by sketching non-stop for over 50 hours in Las Vegas from May 4th through May 6th.

He did so in an attempt to raise as much money as possible for, Heroes for Jordan-A Romita Family Foundation.

Up for sale today are several sketches from that event, each one hand numbered by John in order of completion while breaking the record. Many of the sketches are on a limited edition Kick- 2 blank variant that was made just for the event.

 

A donation was made for each of these sketches to benefit Jordan and in keeping with that spirit 10% of every sale will also be donated to the Heroes for Jordan charity on behalf of all those that purchase here.

John Romita Jr. rarely makes convention appearances these days and sketches even less. He just cancelled his appearance at this years San Diego Comic Con so this is a great chance to get a rare sketch.

Very first sketch of the event! It is numbered "2" because #1 was done in private for a large donor beforehand. It was done in pencil and sharpie as a thank you for being first.

Great cause - nice books!

 

I would hate to see this get yanked because of the last book (being for sale on another venue). Might just want to show that one off here and remove it from being on sale.

CAP' VS CYCLOPS, DOUBLE SKETCH

 

Avengers vs X-men blank variant featuring the first Avenger himself, Captain America (with shield) facing off against the leader of the X-men, Cyclops. A great JRJR original that takes up almost the entire cover!

 

This one is currently listed on ebay with 10% still going to the Heroes for Jordan charity.
