We just finalized our floor plan, and the dealers and guests are all set! You should be able to find just about anything you want at this show, we've got such a great assortment of dealers. There will also be over thirty artists and comic book creators present!

 

On top of that, we've got two new show exclusives. The first is Revival #1, published by Image, written by Tim Seeley, who will be our guest of honor at the show. The second is Adventure Time Presents Marceline and the Scream Queens #1, published by Boom! Studios. We will also be debuting a special signed and numbered edition of our Annapolis Comic-Con exclusive, Adventure Time #1.

 

I'll post our event schedule as a reply to this topic. This is a very family friendly atmosphere and there are fun events all day long.

EVENT SCHEDULE

 

-11am - 4pm Magic: The Gathering Avacyn Restored Drafts!

These run all day, and cost $15 to enter. First place gets 8 packs! Second place gets 4 packs. Check out the event page here:

-Drawings will be held every hour for free stuff and Convention Cash. Hold on to your tickets!

 

-STAGE EVENTS - These run about 45 minutes to an hour, they'll be by the stage on the right side of the room.

 

-11am Comic Book Team-Up: Identity Comics Studio Presentation/Discussion

Illustrators Jerry “The Franchize” Gaylord, Penelope “Peng Peng” Gaylord, and Bryan “Flash” Turner are here to show you how they work together as a studio to benefit the greater good. They will be taking questions, and do a live art demonstration.

 

-12pm Webcomic Discussion

The creators of Bloop, Curls, and Capes n Babes – Steve Conley, Carolyn Belefski, and Chris Flick, respectively – will discuss their methods and experiences creating some of today’s top webcomics.

 

-1pm Grim Crews' Zombie Apocalypse Survivor Quiz

Do you have what it takes to be a survivor in the zombie apocalypse? Test your zombie survival knowledge against other survivors to see who will become Grim Crew's Zombie Apocalypse Survivor, and who will become a snack for the Zed. Visit the Raven Warren Studios Booth to sign up to be a contestant! Free prizes for all contestants and for audience members too!

 

-2pm Conquest Tactics Demo

Conquest Tactics is a strategy card game with a fantasy theme. Players lead their armies across a battlefield to clash with their opponent, employing hand management, resource allocation and battlefield strategy to outwit each other. Players deploy troop cards to a grid battlefield and pay tactical points to move, attack and cast spells. Skills and Spells are taught to a player's entire army and reused each turn. Each player chooses from a selection of victory conditions and must achieve three victory conditions to win the match. Zeitgeyser Games will show you the basics of Conquest Tactics. They'll also have one of the best local ConTac players on hand to answer strategy questions and give a player's perspective on the game.

 

-4pm AWESOME COSTUME CONTEST

You have been sewing for months, and searching all the nations of the world for the perfect color face paint. It's time! There are cool prizes and a TROPHY at stake.

 

-KID STUFF

Visit the Kids Corner on the left side of the room.

 

-ALL DAY ARTATHON - There will be free coloring books and plenty of paper, crayons, pencils, and maybe more! This event goes all day, and kids of all ages are invited.

 

-SUPERHERO TRAINING CAMP - Do you have what it takes to defeat evil? Find out on our gentle obstacle course! This event runs all day. Kids 10 and under only.

 

-11am Sculpting with Art Smart Studio

Model Magic is the greatest! It's a type of clay that has no mess, and you can make all sorts of cool funky colors. You'll get to test the bounds of your imagination and see what you can come up with!

 

-1pm Kids Costume Contest

There will be a lot of miniature superheroes at the Con. Who will go home with the silver trophy?

Kids 12 and under only, please!

 

-3pm Art Challenge

Kids up to 12 years old get a blank sheet of paper and some pencils and crayons. Best art gets a prize!

Kids 8 and under can grab a page from our huge coloring book and color it. Best coloring job gets a prize!
