The LOS ANGELES COMIC BOOK AND SCIENCE FICTION CONVENTION Presents THE WOMEN OF SCIENCE FICTION TV AND FILM Program taking place at the SUNDAY, AUGUST 19, 2012 Show!

 

TRACY SCOGGINS starred as Capt. Elizabeth Lochley in the popular BABYLON 5 Television series created by J. Michael Straczynski. TRACY also starred in several episodes of HIGHLANDER THE SERIES, in an episode of STAR TREK: DEEP SPACE NINE as Gilora Rijal, a Cardassian engineer, and over twenty episodes of LOIS AND CLARK: THE NEW ADVENTURES OF SUPERMAN. TRACY'S first role was in a DUKES OF HAZZARD episode followed by roles in DYNASTY, THE A-TEAM, DALLAS, MANIMAL, T.J. HOOKER and many other series. TRACY recently guest starred in CASTLE with Nathan Fillion.

 

ARLENE MARTEL starred in three Classic Science Fiction Television series, STAR TREK, THE OUTER LIMITS and TWILIGHT ZONE. ARLENE starred as T-PRING, who was betrothed from childhood to be the future wife of Spock in one of the most popular STAR TREK episodes AMOK TIME. ARLENE also starred with Robert Culp in the popular THE OUTER LIMITS episode DEMON WITH A GLASS HAND. Arlene starred in two TWILIGHT ZONE episodes WHAT YOU NEED and TWENTY TWO.

 

MARTA KRISTEN starred as JUDY ROBINSON in eighty four episodes of LOST IN SPACE. MARTA also starred in the Science Fiction Movie BATTLE BEYOND THE STARS with George Peppard, John Saxon and Robert Vaughn. Some of MARTA'S other Movie credits include BEACH BLANKET BINGO and TERMINAL ISLAND.

 

JULIE ADAMS starred in one of the most popular and iconic Science Fiction Movies from the 1950's, CREATURE FROM THE BLACK LAGOON. JULIE has a wide range of Movie and Television credits including roles in ROD SERLING'S NIGHT GALLERY, KOLCHAK: THE NIGHT STALKER, ALFRED HITCHCOCK PRESENTS, ONE STEP BEYOND, THE INCREDIBLE HULK, and many others. JULIE will be signing photos and her book The Lucky Southern Star: Reflections From The Black Lagoon.

 

Also appearing will be animator RIKKI SIMONS, the Voice of GIR, BLOATY and MONGO in the Nickelodeon animated series INVADER ZIM. RIKKI is also an animator doing backgrounds on shows such as INVADER ZIM and JACKIE CHAN ADVENTURES. RIKKI and his wife TAVISHA are the co-creators of many graphic novels such as SUPER INFORMATION, HIJINKS: REALITY CHECK, RANKLECHICK AND HIS THREE LEGGED-CAT and SHUTTERBOX.

 

FREE DVD of DEAD KANSAS, a short independent Horror Film by Aaron K. Carter will be given away while supplies last.

The Dealer's Room will have a nice variety of Comic Books and Collectibles. Among the Comic Book Dealers so far are FVF Comics, Scott Hudlow, Alan Rutledge, Comic Cellar, Comics Ink, Miguel Mumoz, Angelo DiMeo, Jeff Dixon, Alan Rutledge, Jeff Frank, Tony Raiola, JC's Comics and Collectibles, Funny Business, Jason Benson and Don Madison.

 

A few other celebrities requested to be part of the show so appearing will be Debi Storm, an actress who appeared in Movies such as Bert I. Gordon's Village of the Giants and Brotherhood of Satan. Debi is most known for starring as Molly Webber in the popular Brady Bunch episode My Fair Opponent. John Carl Buechler is the Director of Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood, Cellar Dweller, Troll and Special Effects Creator for A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master, Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers, From Beyond and many others. R.A. Mihailoff is known for his role of Leatherface in Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3. All celebrities will be signing autographs in the Dealers Room.

A RESIDENT EVIL: RETRIBUTION MOVIE T-SHIRT AND POSTER will be given away free at the Los Angeles Comic Book and Science Fiction Convention on Sunday, August 19, 2012. The Dealers Room once again offers more Dealers and a larger variety and selection of collectibles than other local shows. Starting from 9:10 A.M.-10:00 A.M. all Early Admission ($12.00) attendees will receive both a Resident Evil: Retribution Movie T-Shirt and Poster (Large Full size and Small size) while supplies last. Starting at 10:00 A.M. Regular Admission ($8.00) attendees will receive either a Resident Evil: Retribution Movie T-Shirt or Poster (but not both) and the T-Shirt and Movie Poster will be randomly rotated (if any are left after Early Admission). A short Horror film titled Dead Kansas by independent filmmaker Aaron K. Carter will be given away. Shopping bags featuring graphics from the new Science Fiction Thriller Branded will be given away to everyone. An additional bonus for Early Admission is that it allows collectors to shop early in the Dealers Room just like the Dealers for the best bargains.

 

Resident Evil: Retribution features Alice (played by Milla Jovovich) returning for the fifth Resident Evil: Retribution Movie (in theaters September in 3D) to combat the powerful Umbrella Corporation who are seeking to spread their evil over the world for Global Domination and the destruction of the human race.
