Railfans+Comics: Collecting Railroad Themed Comic Covers

Do subway trains count? Or is that a separate sub-genre?

Subway trains totally count, same goes for model trains and ghost trains (or ghost-powered trains). I also collect train related covers too. For example, if the action takes place at a station, on a subway or Railway Express Agency depot.

Curious - does the train on this cover look like a Pennsy J1?

I don't have any RR covers I can think of, but here is a picture of my great-great-great grandfather, John Widdowson ( circa 1860), a pay clerk for the London & North Western Railway standing in front of a McConnell Small Bloomer locomotive.

He's the dude in the top hat.

I have an obscure promo comic called George Washingtons Railroad.

The cover has George overlooking the construction of the railroad, with a steam ship sailing on the nearby river. Seeing how Mr Washington died long before steamships were invented, I tend to think the comic is not very historically accurate.
