Interesting idea, but I figured that each business owner would want a uniquely formatted site. I'm sure some similar things would apply across all sites (with a few tweaks here and there), like uploading of inventory, shopping cart integration, etc.,

Easily do-able. I have built more than one site with the same back end and completely different front ends.

 

A properly designed back end can work with any front end.

 

I see what you're saying. I am going to make the site where it would be easy to migrate into another customer's arena.
