Weird Tales editor Farnsworth Wright must have had a lot of faith in Kline's Buccaneers of Venus. He commissioned St. John to do four covers for the story. This is the fourth of the series.

 

Contains a reprinted H.P. Lovecraft story, The Cats of Ulthar, that was originally written in 1920.

 

Also features a Cthulhu mythos story, The Fire Vampires, by Donald Wandrei.

 

Jeez, my copy is beat. I need to upgrade this one.

Gorgeous copy and a really cool Solomon Kane story. Lost race, ruined jungle city that is a remnant of an Atlantean colony (a la Opar in Tarzan), a femme fatale -- classic pulp adventure!
