The ComicBook Channel C.C...Would you subscribe

27 posts in this topic

there is simply not enough people interested in comics. Even with the advent of movies like X-men and Spiderman but there still isn't enough to have any kind of viewer basis. Even video games which are a very "geeky" thing like comics there are a lot of people who would watch that.

the show would totally work, you'd have all the cartoons and TV shows from the 40's to present. you can show the old flash gordon, batman, superman serials and max fleischer cartoons. the 60's marvel cartoons that just came out on DVD. the supehero cartoons from the 70's like supefriends to present. there are TV shows from the 70's like shazam, WW, spider-man etc. you also have movies. that's just the tip of the iceberg, you can also have variety shows dealing with the medium.

If the Sci-Fi channel can keep churning out the garbage they do, and survive, .... an intelligently programmed Comics Channel would too!

My friends thought the Weather channel was a dumb idea. Why didn't the rest of us think of Ebay as a concept.

The Comic Book Channel would only be on in certain markets for starters until picked up by the big boys. The live auctions part of the show would be a hugh hit as well as subject matter related to making money with collectibles. Remember we are driven by greed and fear. So the show should talk about market trends and whats hot and not. Who ever starts this will make a bundle of money because its a great idea and who ever is first to market wins. Wizard is making a killing as a corportation by taking over the comic convention circuit. I see a logical next step for Wizard is to launch thi Comics/collectible channel to tie in with their price guides.
