Not sure if this goes here but i'm new here my names Danny, Long time collector first time CGC'r, I got a couple of my comics signed recently at nycc only to hear that the sigs don't count unless someone is there to witness. So instead of me waiting around for the next nycc to come i came across this website with a ton a generous people. Again im not sure if this goes here, but i have a box of comics that i would love to get signed asap and then graded, I see people do submissions here and i just wanted to post my list and people i wanted them signed by. Just let me know if you'd be able to do it and how much you would like and what it would cost to get graded. Thank you very much

actually this brings up another potential business idea: Sig Brokering. You send me a box full of comics and a list full of the sigs you want. I do all the packaging, searching for appearances, research, contacting of facilitators, mailing, submitting, etc. And within a year, you get all your books back cgc ss'd. Any book that doesn't get done, gets sent back to you, no charge (or small charge).

Charge X per book, show him the receipts for expenses, and voila!

I could see some of the busier, wealthier people being in for this type of thing.

2/3 of the fun for me is watching to see who is showing up, ear to the ground, searching for the right books and organizing to get the deal done. The completed book is merely the icing on the cake.

Of course I love meeting the artists and writers its awesome but sometimes people only show up at certain events and others cant get there

That has nothing to do with it. 85% of the books that I get done are at remote shows that I don't go to. They are handled by facilitators who are responsible for certain shows and witnessed by CAWs or CGC employees and then certified.

if only someone had sent you a link explaining the ins and outs of getting things signed and books facilitated, with all the pertinent information summarized in one place....

dam i wish that existed and had been sent to you on the first page.... oh wait! snap! i did do that.

Is that anything like "dibs"?? hm

It's kind of the opposite of "cooties," except that it doesn't hurt when you pee and your mother doesn't have to tell you ~"I told you to wear a rubber"
