HOLIDAYS SUPER-HEROES SALE (Recap p.13)

127 posts in this topic

Turok #1 (French reprint, 1972) VF+ : $50

This book was printed in France. Some of them were distributed for sale in Canada. The price sticker is therefore normal on such a book when originally offered for sale in Canada.

There seems to be a tiny dot of color touch-up on spine but I'm not 100% sure.

French or Belgian? Belgium used the Franc too, and they printed nice quality books with stiff covers. I don't know if they reprinted Gold Keys, though, I've only ever seen Silver Age DC (Superman, Batman, World's Finest).

It is French, printed in Lyon by "Éditions des Remparts" in 12/1972.

They reprinted Gold Keys Turoks (not the Dell's though) but also Magnus and Star Trek.

Hope this helps you.

Turok #1 (French reprint, 1972) VF+ : $50 Extremely tough book to find in decent shape. Let's face it, you may never see this issue for sale again. This book was printed in France. Some of them were distributed for sale in Canada. The price sticker is therefore normal on such a book when originally offered for sale in Canada. There seems to be a tiny dot of color touch-up on spine but I'm not 100% sure.

Turok #2 (Four Color #656) Fine- : $120 This is a tough book to grade and price I think. From the front cover, the book looks like an easy 9.0/9.2. Problem however is the back cover as you can see with a few stains (affect back only). Moreover, there is some kind of insect damage on the left edge that goes through the whole book except the front cover.
