Welcome to the boards!

As a suggestion try downloading a large scan you like from on these boards, then match the size and resolutionof it to your own scans.

Hi all,

I got lucky and figured it out by accident. Now for question number 2.... How do you post the scans to this website?

(I want to submit a copy of FF 48 for your opinions...)

Thanks in advance.

If you want to upload a scan as an attachment here, the scan must be smaller than 150KB (145KB to be safe). Thus the purpose of large scans are defeated unless you use another hosting service.

Photobucket.com is free but only allows up to 250KB per scan.

Good enough for me.

I think you only need mega scans when you need to tell the difference between 9.2-9.4-9.6...etc....

I can usually figure out a VG+ from a Fine from a 250KB scan easy.

I've tried photobucket, and the scans look horrible. Any advice?

If your scan file sizes are over 250KB photobucket will resize them and they will look all squeezed.

Okay I just think I got Yahoo to work. Please take a look...

Comments:

1. Comic is in a mylar, so right side edges didn't show so cleanly. Immaculate edge.

2. At the bottom of the front cover scan, the white you notice is the backing board. I took it out for the back scan.

3. I'm concerned about the chip missing from the front cover. How much of a detraction do you think it is????

Don't use Yahoo. Yahoo changes the URL so that you can't host files from there. Get an account with www.datazap.net. It is super cheap and there's no limit on file size. If you don't want to spend anything, sign up with www.photobucket.com. It is free, but there's a 250kb file size limit.

Also, you need to put image tags on each side of your URL. Click Quote as if you are going to reply to my post and then look at the image tags surrounding the URL in the picture below to see how the code looks:
