Jesus, that was a gift grade. A crease that size should be 8.0 max.

 

 

I ( gulp ) agree with ya JC.

 

I assume since the rest of the book was rock solid.. the LLC, and URC flaws were factored into what was a really solid book?

 

And I also assume we can throw out the OS grading guide to use as parameters when we try and grade these?

 

OS states even a 8.0 cant have a 1/4 crease that breaks color.

 

So how then do we factor in this having a 1/2 color breaking crease, and the LLC spine ding... getting a 8.5?

 

Is it all just numbers?.... Each comic..starts at a 10.0.. then each flaw is subtracted by severity of the flaw.. to arrive at it's grade.?

 

Or are some books just graded by the look, feel, and overall state of the comic.. and the few flaws it has are weighed against all the positives the book has?

I had a Ghost Rider 1 with a corner crease like that but longer and it was graded 8.5 but so I am not surprised!
