1) The guy doesn't want his wife/etc. to know what he bought.

 

2) The guy doesn't want others using Feedback to track his purchases.

 

And yes, I know there are other "ways" of finding out some data, the feedback auction list is active far longer than the search engines.

I had a friend who wanted to keep her "stealth" account feedback-free. She was vying with a small group of people for the same kind of material (not comics). It was often mis-titled or under the wrong categories. She would track it with her stealth name, hoping they wouldn't find it via her bid record. She went ballistic when someone gave her feedback, because it pointed out that that ebay ID was buying these things. It all seemed rather dramatic to me, but whatever. Some people get very serious about this stuff.
