I dont think that Giamatti would sign up for such a minor role in the movie, such as being in the opening fight scene.

 

Anything is possible of course, but I see him having a bigger role.

 

The only way I would see him being a bit part is if he is just a huge spidey fan and wanted to be in a film.

On another note regarding a sinister six movie. The proper way to have done this would have been to have 6 spider-man movies each with their own villian and then a seventh movie with all of them.

 

It could be shortened to 4 films with 2 villians in each of the first three.

 

It sounds like alot, but Raimi was up to Spider-Man 4 before he got booted.
