Dimpling has always been a defect that causes me some confusion.

 

It's not obvious in the scan, but there is some dimpling. Other than that, this book is in nice shape.

 

If I were to mechanically follow the Overstreet grading guide, dimpling defects fall in the VG ranges and lower. But that wouldn't make sense to grade this book in a VG range.

 

My guess is a base grade VF.
