Could you scan with the lid open so the edges are clearer? Is that staining on the FC LRC?

Hello, I think it appeared to be stained in the first scans but no not on the back cover, there is incredibly light discoloration almost unnoticeable spanning about an inch on the bottom edge of front cover. ill get the scans up in a second.

Great Romita cover! I will post my guess when I get home. Grading on a phone makes my already fallable skills almost useless.

In my unprofessional opinion those look a lot like stains. So I am going to say 7.0. Sans stains it looks nm-/nm.

Depend on what the 'stains' are - and if they are actually there - may I suggest a dry-clean?

There isn't much wrong with this lovely book otherwise.

If they are cleanable - 9.2 - even 9.4

I'm really trying to find something seriously wrong with this - and failing.

I agree with Andy except Stains can't be dry cleaned only dirt.

tough book to grade. If the bottom edge of the fc is indeed moisture damage, I think 8.0 max. How does it look inside the fc? if the water tide is more visible and larger, you might be looking at 7.5

 

I had a book with similar water damage on the fc and bc top edge...without that damage, the book was 9.2 quality but with the moisture damage, CGC gave it a 7.5

Thanks for the help guys, the inside cover doesn't have water damage at all. To my naked eye, the color seems consistent except for the bottom front edge and top right of the back cover.
