Oh for the love of.....argg. I just spent my money on upgrading one of my other grails and now here comes Adventure Comics #48 - the real grail I am seeking. Uggghhh. Dammit

Missing Centerfold. Pieces Missing on most page corners. Water Damage. Some Spine Splitting. And Cover detached at top staple.

 

The hour-man story is only affected on the last page of the story, and it does affect story and art.

 

Odd Restoration attempt: The hour glass on the front cover hanging off Hourman's neck is an added piece on top of the cover and it is loose. The original paper underneath is present, there is no hole, but the underlying original hourglass art is gone - like what you would see from a tape pull. It appears that it may have once been attached to the cover by glue but it has mostly been lost over time.

 

I purchased this book from Heritage and they made no mention of this added piece.

Detective 33 - Batman Origin

 

Coverless. And very heavy chew wear. Chew wear begins slightly on last page of Batman story and goes through all the remaining pages of the book. It's worst at the back of the book and becomes lesser towards the front. Batman story and art are unharmed.
