So, were these six books the entire Marvel Universe in May of 1963?

But the ad was for just the six superhero titles.

Although Fury later joined the Marvel Universe in FF 21, so I guess Sgt. Fury 1 counts too.

Then by that logic Kid Colt (or was it Two-Gun Kid) should also count. He was an Avenger.

So was Patsy Walker - didn't she become Tigra?

Hawkeye went back in time and met Kid Colt, Two-Gun and Rawhide. Also, Millie the Model, Hedy and Patsy were all at Reed and Sue's wedding in FF Annual 3.

Ya but only Millie had a book tha came out in May '63. And since she wasn't really doing anything at the wedding I think she's still out of the club.

Patsy Walker is definitly in... Patsy Walker -- '50 goodie-goodie... dates Hank McCoy while he's an Avenger... steals Tigra's old Cat suit and be comes the new Cat... starts hanging out with the Defenders... gets around Damion Hellstorm and finds out that she's DAUGHTER OF SATAN!!!... takes on name Hellcat... develops abnormally swolen genitalia (see below)...

Don't you know that all of the guys she was dating back in the '50 wish they had tried just a little harder. I mean, c'mon, you know Daughter of Satan has to put out!

Was all this in the Silver-Age!?

How'd I miss it... confused.gif

Being guests in the FF ann 3 don't matter else Stan and Jack would count too.

I'm only talking major players.

Nick Fury is a major player. thumbsup2.gif

Speaking of cool ads for early Marvel books, there was an ad for the Fantastic Four in some book, i don't remember which one, but the original art sold about a year ago on ebay. It was the oldest FF original art known, Very cool piece, but I don't remember which comic it appeared in. I want to say it was in Hulk 1 or 2 but I'm not sure. Anybody know?

I believe this was original art from an ad from Hulk 1:

That scan of the oldest FF art is in a permanent folder on my desktop! laugh.gif

I hope to get a reader of Hulk 1 one day to see if that's were the ad came from.

I heard it was in an early Strange Tales too pre-101.

Hmmm, I own most of the pre-100 ST issues, so I'll look when I get home.
