D copy or not?

4 posts in this topic

hi everyone....

so I recently purchased Uncanny tales #1 CGC 5.0 from a seller and the front cover has not one ...but 2 D's..

I got to thinking maybe it's a D copy and began comparing D copies with a D on the front from the same period....

Pros-

Looks similar in style to some D's on other books I see from comicbookpedigrees.com under the D copy scans

Uncanny Tales was a run in the Crippen D collection with no 1st issue designated for that collection yet (I think?)

similar side foxing for other uncanny tales issues i see from that collection

Cons-

Why are there 2 D's...

it is not designated as a D copy by CGC if that means anything

Is it worth a resubmit? Thoughts?

That book is too late to have writing on the first page. Can you show full front & back cover scans? That would help me better determine if it is or not. If it is a "D" copy, it's not from the recent 2006 find.
