I miss that time and place more than a bit.

 

You and me both. I think my favorite Jeffrey story was his first hand account of how the syndicate would use large vintage Sunday pages to patch holes in the windows and to "protect" the floor when it was raining outside. I remember him describing how he rescued a nice vintage Prince Valiant by Foster, took hit home and gave it a bath and it wound up as good as new after people had scrapped their muddy boots on it.

It seems like there are a handful of Miller Wolverine pages that were hand colored. The thing that always bugs me most is the colors just always seem off from the published material no matter how hard the artist tries to match.
