Hulk #126 is actually the very first appearance of Barbara Norriss, in whose body Valkyrie would be known and loved (yes, body swapping was very in in the Defenders stories).

First Valkyrie in the body of Samantha Parrington is Hulk #142 and first in the body of Barbara is Defenders #4, but to me Hulk #126 will always be more important, as the Nameless ones storyline (continued in Sub-Mariner #22 and Dr. Strange #183) will eventually lead also to the formation of the Defenders.
