PGM Marvel Premiere #15 Tape Pull :(

Just picked this up today on the cheap. Its the Mark Jeweler Variant and looks stunning.

 

Glaring flaw is obviously the tape pull at the bottom of the front cover. Some discoloration on the bottom of the BC too. Doesn't look like a water stain.

 

Never dealt with a tape pull on a nice copy, how does it hurt the grade? VG? GD?

Nice book with sweet colors. I would be OK buying this at a 4.0/4.5!!

It's a shame about the tape pull. Maybe 4.5?

 

I am curious about the stain on the bottom of the back cover. It's in the same area as the tape pull on the front.

It appears to be color loss due to being stuck to something on a smooth (e.g. glass) table top; the stain does appear to be consistant in location to the color loss. My "forensic" guess? Coca-cola or some caramel-colored sweet drink on glass; book laid on glass; liquid absorbed/dried; book picked up; FC paper lost to table-top; very light stain to BC area.
