the problem with mylite bags is that they tend to 'catch' on adjacent mylite bags in th eboxes. They dont glide out smoothly from their neighbors when you pull one out. And, from a purely anal retentive standpoint, they are harder to "line up" perfectly too since they adhere to their neighbors. 25 bags will all line up in 25 different positions, like a shuffling a wet deck of cards that no amount of tapping on the table will align perfectly.

 

as for PP vs PE, PE came first and are the original Bell bags. They are oilier, thicker and cloudier. PP was a newer invention and became popular in the 80s and 90s. I switched to them because they are clearer and crisper in feel while still sliding next to their neighbors.

 

But, after many years some brands tend to bubble up and wrinkle badly!! PEs on the other hand get cloudier and gummier as the years go by and stick together!! Perhaos this tawdry PP vs PE debate stems from the fact that the PEs are clear at first but GET cloudy over time.
