Yeah I see that now. I meant on the scan of the book itself, like the others. I was looking for the "SOLD" marker. Thus my :blush: .

Great books Joey. Mad #1 in CGC 6.0 is a deal at $1000, well under GPA (except for one sale a couple of years ago.) I have a copy in F+ that Bill Gaines signed on the inside cover. Great book to read, too- really excellent satire. The magazine printed today has none of the class and smart humor found in the older issues.

 

Someday I will pony up and buy one of your keys!

I agree, the early MAD was terrific, a significant influence in its day, but it's not been relevant in the same way now for, probably decades? No particular fault of its own, time has just passed it by. Probably the Onion serves now as a banner of satiric excellence, though of course it too falls flat semi-often.
