Comic Shops In Las Vegas

29 posts in this topic

Didn't make it to the one in June, as work interfered with my plans. I did make it to the one in Sept.

How was it? Anyone big show up? The one in June was pretty awesome, but was ridiculously unorganized.

The one in Sept. wasn't bad. It was much better organized than the first year.

Neal Adamas was the big name. Very nice guy, bought some nice signed prints from him. Had to wait as he was being interviewed by the local news. Talked to him for a bit. His son, Joel Adams, was there as well.

Brian Pulido, Lady Death, was there as well. Talked to him for quite some time. Very cool guy. Had some very cool Lady Death exclusives.

Other guests were EBAS, Joe Rubenstein, Whilce Portacio, Joe Benitez, Mark Brooks, Gerry Conway, and a few others.

Got some nice deals and overall was a good time.

I didn't read the entire thread so forgive me if I repeated anything.

I have lived in Las Vegas since I was a kid, and that was a long time ago, but these are some of my favorites to tell people about.

The only decent (IMO) back issue comics shop in town is Cosmic Comics

Maximum and Alternate Realities are nice stores, but back issue stuff is very limited.

As far as other stuff to do. I always recommend the Pinball Hall of Fame . I just can't tell you how much fun that place is if you like vintage pinball machines.

Also, something kind of cool is Kiss mini golf right off the strip.

Last thing I will bring up is Luv-It's frozen custard off of Las Vegas Blvd. That place is a Las Vegas institution.

Oh, one more....a great place to eat at City Center (next to the Aria) is Todd English P.U.B. . We have eaten there a couple of times and the beer and food are excellent. Expensive, but a great place. The lobster rolls are just awesome.

hey do they have slot machines in comic shops over there?

a superhero slot would be awesome

spiderman clobbers doc ock and PAYOUT

bally or whoever if they stopped to think about it marvel also would realize this would be huge. no one would want to play the other slots

first casino that had em there'd be tumbleweeds in the other casinos

There have been Super-hero slots for years. Batman was very big for a bit, not so much just know. Disney is trying to stop the use of Marvel characters on slots, but has not been entirely successful. The Phantom slots still are in many casinos, along with Tarzan.

Wolverine is a great slot machine available at from Marvel Jackpot Slots Series at InterCasino.

The Slots feature the X-men character Wolverine as the main attraction.

The Wolverine Slots offer three randomly awarded progressive jackpot prizes ( Marvel Hero Jackpots ) and has a 3,000 max payout for regular payline combinations.

Players can bet on up to 25 paylines per spin and win on multiple positions with help from both Wild and scatter symbols.

The Wolverine slot machine has two bonus features, a Re-spin bonus feature and a very popular Battle Bonus feature.

The Wolverine Battle bonus is triggered when three or more Sabretooth scatter symbols appear anywhere on the slot machine reels.

This starts a Mortal Combat like battle scene where the player must select the attacks of Wolverine.

The player is granted from one to five attacks.

Each successfull attack results in a cash bonus for the player.

Winning the battle results in a very nice extra bonus prize!

The Wolverine re-spin slot machine feature is triggered when three or more of the slots Wild symbols appear anywhere on the five reels. Once triggered, the slot machine pays out the current spin prizes and "holds" all reels with a wild symbol on while the remaining reels spin once.

The Wolverine re-spin bonus feature often result in impressive wins because the player is guarantied a minimum of three wild symbols during the re-spin.
