This run kicks off the Bronze Age for ASM--and the #82-86 stretch is VERY sweet. Hopefully this run will land in the hands of a collector. I began breaking up my personal collection of ASMs about 2 years ago. I've sold off #2-24. And I just sold #90-99. Now, it's time for this lot. :wishluck:

The obligatory notes for these 10 books are forthcoming...

:takeit: pending the notes is kosher. Also kosher, I hear, are Hebrew National hot dogs. (A TV commercial makes the lofty claim that the company "answers to a higher authority.") Buy the books & the dogs!

ASM #80 FN+

--Centering: 1/16" miswrap/white on spine @ top; starts to pick up a little speed about halfway down; 1/8" by bott. of spine.

--Staples rust-free, but top staple is recessed into spine; also, although staples are attached at the cover, there's some tearing away a bit from both staples on the inside front cover (not in any danger of detachment though); staples rust-free and secure @ centerfold.

--Non-color breaking bends on spine.

--Front cover/upper left area: looks like some production-related creasing in Spidey logo box.

--Front cover edge, about halfway down, a non-color breaking bend that also has a very tiny bit of color loss; some other minor non-color breaking bends on front cover.

--Back cover edge: some non-color breaking bends. Back cover in FN-VF/VF- territory. Overall grade for book brought down because of the aforementioned tugging at the staples, inside front cover.

POSITIVES:

a) Front cover has good colors & gloss.

b) Inside covers: OWW or OW.

c) Pgs.: OW.

ASM #81 FN

--Centering: miswrap/white on spine just under 1/8" @ top and gradually decreasing to where about 1/16" at the bottom.

--Front cover/upper right corner: minor creasing.

--Front cover/lower right corner: small color-breaking crease (just over 1/8").

--Front cover/lower right half of book: Not evident, but there is a 5" non-color breaking bend (visible under light @ an angle).

--Back cover: nothing major, just some non-color breaking bends.

POSITIVES:

a) Staples rust-free and attached @ cover & centerfold.

b) Inside covers: OW.

c) Pgs.: OWW or OW.

Pictures would undoubtably help your cause immensely.

Just my 2c

It's not just your 2 cents, it's objective fact. But I currently don't have a scanner, camera, or cell phone.

However, my previous 12 sales threads, all like this, have all sold out. May this 13th one not be my undoing. :wishluck:

b) Staples rust-free and attached @ cover & centerfold.

c) Inside covers: White!

d) Pgs.: OWW or OW.

e) This is a great looking, higher grade book.

--Front cover/upper left corner: very tiny foxing spot.

--A few very small tics on the spine.

--Back cover/upper left corner & edge, about 2" down, some light foxing (goes through to inside back cover, but very lightly so and smaller area too).

--Back cover/spine area: very light dirt/ink transfer (back cover I'd put in FN/VF territory; front cover in VF/NM territory).

POSITIVES:

a) Centering: perfect!

b) Inside covers: white or OWW.

c) Pgs.: OW.

d) Staples rust-free and attached @ the cover & centerfold.

e) Corners & edges on this book are REALLY NICE.

ASM #85 VF+

--Front cover/upper left corner & lower left corner: tiny nub.

--Front cover/upper right corner: some tiny, barely color-breaking creasing.

--Back cover/spine area, next to bott. staple: very light, small ink smudge.

POSITIVES:

a) Nicely centered.

b) Staples rust-free and attached @ the cover & centerfold.

c) Inside covers: white!

d) Pgs.: OWW.

e) Front cover: super glossy, flat, REAL NICE.

f) I can't see any tics or bends on the spine!

g) This copy is heavily flirting with VF/NM, but I can't quite do it. Great copy, though.

ASM #87 VG+

--Some minor rust on top staple; bott. staple no rust, but detached @ cover; staples rust-free & attached @ centerfold.

--Front cover/lower left area: a few light foxing marks (which do NOT go through to the inside front cover).

--Back cover edge, about 1/3 of the way down: 3/4" printer's crease.

--Back cover/upper right area: small mark of some kind, production-related? (1/4")

--Back cover/bottom edge & on spine near bott. staple: light foxing stains (inside back cover, very bott. edge, some VERY light evidence of the foxing), yet back cover is more white than CRM/OW.

POSITIVES:

a) Very nicely centered.

b) Inside covers: OWW.

c) Pgs.: OWW or OW.

d) Corners & edges on this book are nice.

e) Spine is pretty sweet, i.e., absence of wear.

f) Front cover has sharp colors and outside of the touch of rust on top staple & bott. staple detachment & light foxing in one small area, the cover would be in VF+ territory. ( A lot of conditions, I know, so I'll just say a mid-grade book that presents very nicely.)

ASM #88 VG+

--Centering: 1/16" miswrap/white on spine @ top, ever-so-slightly decreasing until bott. of spine.

--Staples rust-free and attached @ the cover, but some tearing at both staples, inside front cover (no danger of detachment); staples attached @ centerfold.

--Front cover/top staple: some light tearing.

--Moderate spine wear.

--Front cover/lower right area: 2 lightly color-breaking diagonal creases (2 1/4" and 5 1/2"...believe it or not, because of the cover art, these 2 creases aren't overly obvious, so the front cover eye appeal is actually still pretty nice).

--Back cover: nothing major going on; I'd grade it at FN+/FN-VF.

POSITIVES:

a) Inside covers: OWW.

b) Pgs.: OWW.

c) Very nice eye appeal for a VG+ book.

ASM #89 FN

--Moderate wear on spine.

--Back cover, upper left area: the main defect of the book, a 2" lightly color-breaking crease and then goes non-color breaking, but goes down 2/3 of the book.

--Back cover/lower left area: non-color breaking creasing. (I'd grade the back cover a VG+/VG-FN, and the front cover a FN/VF.)

POSITIVES:

a) Nicely centered.

b) Staples rust-free and attached @ the cover & centerfold.

c) Inside covers: OWW.

d) Pgs.: OWW or OW.

e) Front cover: bright, glossy colors--very nice eye appeal.

f) This book has nice edges.
