Famous Monster Magazine Issues 1-6

I posted this originally in the incorrect forum - so sorry!

 

Can anyone give me a ROUGH idea of what the approximate grade these might be?

 

They were given to us by a (deceased) relative. He has a pretty extensive and possibly complete set of these. I've CAREFULLY taken pics of the first six issues.

 

The #6 is the worst and there are only a couple others with bad spines and they aen't nearly this bad. The condition of #1 is pretty representative of the collection. Right now I've located the first 29 and then the 1962-1972 yearbooks (minus 1963).

 

 

Thanks for ANY input! We have NO experience in this sort of thing.

Kind of hard to tell from the pictures, especially since I'm not sure which picture goes with which magazine, but ballparking it:

 

#1 around 4.0

#2 around 5.0

#3 around 4.5

#4 around 4.5

#5 around 3.5

#6 around 2.5

 

They are all mostly in the Very Good to Very Good/Fine range.

Better organized my guesses are:

#1 - 4.5

#2 - 6.5

#3 - 5.0

#4 - 4.0

#5 - 3.5

#6 - 2.5

Great books. Any pieces missing, tape or stains are going to limit the books to no more than 4.0 or so. These copies present well though. Great color and gloss so that is a positive.

 

Here are my estimates from the pictures:

 

FM 1 : 5.5

FM 2 : 7.5 (press would take it to 8.5)

FM 3 : 6.0

FM 4 : 5.0

FM 5 : 3.5 (Tape on spine) otherwise 6.5
