- If we are going to include Hero for Hire #1, then let's not forget Green Lantern #87- the 1st app. of DC's first black superhero, John Stewart. Let us not forget Black Lightning #1, DC's 1st black superhero to get his own book.

- Definitely have to include SSWS #151- since the, the Unknown Soldier, BA's greatest war character creation, gets his own storyline (this is not the 1st app. of the Unknown Soldier).

- If Tec 395 is included on this list, then does that make this book the 1st BA book since it preceded GL 76?

- WW #'s 199 and 200 if you add Superman 233 & Bats 227?

- What about Kirby's New Gods #1, Forever People #1, & Mister Miracle #1? Kirby's 4th World begins- a major BA event?

- Shazam #1, while an unsuccessful seller, was the 1st app. of one of the greatest GA comic book characters ever. Wasn't that also a major BA event?

- How about All Star #58- 1st Power Girl?

- If we are going to include DD #'s 168 & 181, then we are in agreement that the BA ended somewhere in the mid 80s?

- Is Avengers 93 the beginning of the Kree-Skrull Wars(Arguably one of the best BA stories)?

- Is Jonah Hex really a minor character? A minor character compared to who? Major characters in the superhero genre? Is it fair to compare a leading character in a western comic book to those in a superhero books?

Jonah Hex is the BA's greatest western creation and is a major character in the western genre. Shouldn't ASW #10 be considered a major BA Western Key?

lol Where's that "dead horse" emoticon.

Personally, I am against including TEC 395, as it does not signify a mass industry change, or a new idea for the genre, and is very Batman-centric. Basically, it's a tweener book, not quite SA but certainly not the harbinger of the BA either.

But to keep the DC fanboys happy, we put it on the list. (shrug)

I thought the vast majority of posters agreed that Detective Comics 395 represents a BATMAN key but not a BRONZE AGE key. Otherwise every minor character from the Bronze Age with his or her own title would have to add their various books to the list. hm
