1st Series Daredevil question on CGCing what issues

8 unrestored copies of DD #1 in 8.0 have received bids on eBay the last 10 months. Lowest price was $1,299, highest was $1,700. Most have gone for $1,400 to $1,500.

The seller responded to my email, stating that CGC has its bad days, and that I should resubmit it. "One grader can easily give a 9.0 book an 8 for one reason or another."

 

 

Does this sound like a fair assumption, or would I be wasting my time and money?

Call them and report the grader's notes to us. Provide a scan if you can and we will check it out. Nothing wrong with an 8.0 IMO.

When you are looking at books this high price a difference of .5 makes a big difference in value. You might want to re-submit. Following is approximate value for 3 different grades:

 

8.0 - $1400 - $1500

8.5 - $2175 - $2250

9.0 - $3150 - $3250
