PGM Tales to Astonish 13

OO copy from the Marvel & DC collection the Hulks came out of.

This photo was taken by owner. I don't have the book in hand yet.

That's what I though as well. Might get it pressed and have a little of the dirt cleaned off before getting it slabbed.

I think the dirt is holding it together, I think the slightest press would turn the book into dust

I hope you're wrong but maybe pressings not really a great idea. The wrinkles give it character and it's not like there's a lot it will do to improve it.

Book Is in hand now. It's old and a bit rough, but incredibly has gloss and the pages actually feel kind of supple. I have no idea what kind of stain it has on the back. There's 2 tiny drops of what looks likes varnish - about the size of pencil tip so small - but the rest is wear and maybe a little expose to moisture, but the staples aren't rusty so perhaps it's just age.
