If you manage to re-scan it, uncheck all your scanner software "automated" settings, which probably cause an auto-cropping.

 

Then, since I see you are using Imgur, it’s very easy: just choose the correct code from the popup window (you obtain it by clicking on the image when logged in in Imgur). Alternatively, you can use a "trick".

Your current image URL (the internet address) is as follows.

By simply adding a "h" at the end of the address you can obtain a posted image of manageable size. The following code gives the image below.

The book looks in the VG range, mostly for the crease running all along the spine, but of course we have to see it uncropped.
