In fact, the second story of the last issue is a brand new one (the series was left without an ending when it was canceled) so one must have at least #6 and the Hunger Dogs to have a completed narration.

Kirby told me he wasn’t sure how the story would have ended if the series continued, but surely not as he finished it in the mid-1980s. He said it was the most dramatic of struggles "father vs. son" and the official ending he devised in the 1980s has probably less drama than he had in mind.
