Picked up a good size collection of original owner EC's last weekend. I'd like to know how people think it grades of course, but moreso I'm curious about how CGC treats the markings on books. This one has a date written on it that one could assume is a dealer marking, but does it downgrade the book? I'm posting another book with different markings.

I'm a little worried about the discoloration near the EC logo. It may just be a readers crease pushed a little further from the scanner bed though. There's just some creases, nicks and dirt. Id guess close to a 6.0.

5.5 I think, and cleaning would help some

 

The pencilled markings won't hurt either of your books. In fact, they're unobtrusive enough not to much effect even at substantially higher grades IMHO.
