Seems that you're right about the actual first app. of Gambit

 

And your book looks pretty darn sharp and clean as well. Definitely a high grade.

I see one spine tick on the back cover so I'm going 9.6. Nice copy. CGC has "gambit cameo" on the slab so it probably will never get the respect it deserves.

Any thoughts on the FCUL, with that little piece that appears to be missing? I'd have to look again, but I believe it's actually a tiny chunk that is gone.

 

I agree on the spine tick, which wraps from the front to the back.
