Hello all,

 

Narrowing my focus a bit and decided to release some of my silver age Tales of Suspense, Journey into Mystery, Tales to Astonish, Amazing (adult) fantasy, and other comics of that ilk to start. While cash is king, trades are possible for golden age GGA (Good Girl Art) covers mainly, but am open to others.

 

As per usual, the first :takeit: wins over any pm negotiations (unless completed before the time stamp in the thread).

 

Shipping is a flat $4 for any number of books. Paypal is preferred, but MO and CC are accepted. Please, no Probies, Hall of Shamers, or Shady Characters. :blahblah:

The Phantom Stranger - Full Run + - Guide is $1100...I'll take $700 shipped

 

This collection comprises the full silver/bronze age run of the Phantom Stranger. Most copies are mid to high grade, with only a few stragglers. These books are very flat and mostly well-taken care of from an original owner. All present better in-hand than these photos/scans.

 

FYI: The series has rebooted and these classic books are bound to increase in value - get 'em while they are cheap.!

 

This 44 book collection includes DC Superstars 18, and Showcase #80, the first SA appearance of the Phantom Stranger. Neal Adams drew this cover as well as the covers 3-19 and full art on #4. The whole series is great, as you can see, and rarely seen as a collection. As such, I am not interested in breaking it up and will only sell (or trade) as a complete set. OSPG value for this set is $1100. I'm willing to sell for $700 or trade for equivalent value (see post 1) Photos include four group shots, and sampling scans of some of the books. Wonder Comics #15 - PR - I paid $100....I'll Take $70:news: SOLD

Despite the obvious problems, this book looks great in Mylar. It is missing its staples, and the 17th & 18th pages (as counted as single pieces of paper, but cut out clean. Affects story) Yeah, that's a bummer, but let's face it, nobody buys this book for the inside..... (also, for what it's worth, it look like there is some paper stuck to her legs, and possibly removable...)

 

Anyway, still a great price to own arguably the best GGA Schomberg cover after Startling 49...

Not GA, but a rare 2nd print of Crumb's early work. Zap #0 was supposed to be #1, but the art was stolen. Crumb published #1 with new art. Later, he discovered Xerox's of the intended #1, reinked them, and released this comic, #0.

This is my lowest grade Tomb of Dracula, all others in collection are much better. Still, it's a #2!. Cover detached, spine split 1/2 way from bottom, 4" tear bc, numerous chips. She's a Mylar Queen though.

2nd issue of series that would end with Amazing Fantasy #15, Cover detached and fully split, numerous chips along spine edge. Complete though and retains some gloss. She's a mylar queen!

Dr. Doom Prototype issue, Staples holding, but bottom is only attached to rear cover. 4" lower spine split, 2" jagged tear lower front cover (partially secured with archival tape). 1" tears right fc and left rc. Looks great in mylar....
