Oh Man, it has happened. Someone started a New Warriors Thread! I started one a few years ago and people laughed at me!

I didn't. Always liked the New Warriors.

Full on Punisher vs Thrasher fight. It was a pretty good one in my opinion but hey.. I was 8 when I first read it. This issue gave rise to the popularity of Night Thrasher (or at least to me it did) as being toe to toe with the Punisher. You know, a high caliber weapons/fighter. Unfortunately Marvel thought this as well and tried to spin him off in his own mini-series about this time much to my she-grins. Marvel needs to learn to build it up first... It was was too soon.

Also, the team "Force of Nature" seemed pretty bad . Their visors.. yeah, not so much.

Honestly, one of my least favorite covers and I think that had a lot to do with the fact that this is when the series was at it's height and everyone in my neighborhood had multiple copies of this cover. It just didn't seem as special as the previous.

Anyways, we wrap up all the story lines here and save Robby's mom from eco-terrorist. She'd be proud to know her son grows up to be a guy who wears spikes. :P

This one nails it. The White Queen is in town and kicked everyone's . Well... not so much. She send the Hellions and they felt pretty "B" team to me. White Queen still felt like an "A" villain in this though.

What do you guys consider really the book to own/First Appearances...

#411 or #412?

Sort of a Hulk #180 vs. Hulk #181 discussion I guess, but I am curious. I know the responses will be #411 is a cameo and #415 is first full. meh But which is the book New Warriors fans will want to own down the road? (shrug)

I always thought if I had to choose, I would take 412 over 411 for exactly the example you've given as a reason. They are cheap enough to own both but 412 for me. 2c

Yup, I would agree with Thor #412. That cover shot seals the deal! I loved this series when it first came out, it was in my top 3 to read each month. I did not know about there appearance in Thor before buying issue #1. I never liked Thor (love him now, thanks to the Walt Simonson run) but was able to track them down very easily at first....then you couldn't find a copy anywhere in my area!

I bought the New Warriors omnibus last year and read it right off. It really is a good, fun and exciting series!
