Sgt. Fury & His Howling Commandos 41

I've never been sure how to grade this one and wanted to get some opinions.

 

Mainly I'm not sure how the small chip about 2/3 of the way up from the bottom on the open edge front cover affects the grade. You may have to look close, but you can see a small triangle chip missing. Otherwise, the only defects are a spine tic on the front and back cover. Pages inside are OW/W.

 

Any opinions would be appreciated.

I'd give it an 8.0, possibly 8.5

 

There appears to be some light tanning on both sides as I assume this cover had a white background when it came out.

looked into it a bit more and decided that the color is probably correct with less tanning than I thought. revised grade to 8.5- 9.0 -- and possibly higher as this one rivals CGC 9.6 copies as I've seen available on eBay.

 

this one specifically -- which might have been a gift grade-- but is not as good looking as the scan you have for your books.
