These books belong to my son in law, he asked me to sell them for him. I did tell him I know zero- about modern books, but he seems to trust me anyway and I’m extremely fond of him, so I said sure

 

None of these books have been pressed. Most of them have probably just been admired for their covers without opening them. Most were bought directly from a comic book store and he should be the original owner. I’m saying most, because he’s way too young to have bought the Omega Men off the rack. I’m guessing his dad bought the few older ones.

 

They were all stored bagged and boarded and kept in a file cabinet in a smoke free home by a very careful person.

 

The books I am listing are all high grade copies. I’m going to provide scans and a description of any flaw you might not see, except for the Spawns. I’ve only scanned most of those, just posted flaws for the 1,2, 4, 9 and 50. As to a specific grade, I’ve rarely graded a book above a 9.2, but with maybe one or two exceptions, these are better. I’m not sure that I can tell the difference between a 9.4 and a 9.6 or a 9.6 and a 9.8, so please look at the pictures and ask questions if you have any.

 

Shipping is exact cost. I try to use regional boxes if it saves you money. If you are closer to NY, it’s going to be cheaper than if you are in California (I like California just fine, it’s just far from here;) Average cost for a regional box is $6.00 - $7 on the East Cost and $9 on the West. Middle of the Country is about $7-8. I pack very carefully.

 

If you are out of the US, that’s fine, too…but shipping is expensive.

Payment by PP or Check/MO. Payment is due in 7 days unless you ask me for time payments via pm and I accept your plan.

I take returns for any reason. You must notify me within 7 days of receipt and I must have the books back within 14 days. Return shipping is your cost unless I made an error, in that case I’ll pay the return shipping.

 

Regarding restoration, he’s the original owner on almost all of them and he didn’t tamper with them. I don’t see anything suspicious.

If you have a book slabbed and there is resto, I will refund $25 of your slabbing fee and the price of the book plus your original shipping cost, but only if the book has not been altered in any way (pressing/cleaning, etc) and only if it’s graded by CGC. I will take returns for 6 months after the date of purchase for resto discovered by CGC .

 

There will be a free books added to each order. Don’t expect something worth a fortune as a freebie, but then again I know very little about modern books, so one never knows. I will add several books to each order.

 

 

Prices are from completed eBay sales. I tried to go by the lower end but again, I’m not really familiar with these. If the prices are too high, just pm me and tell me.

I’d like to get the all these modern books off the bed in the guest room so they don’t make my poor SA and GA books feel old and decrepit, therefore I’m trying to make the prices reasonable.

Angela #1,2,3, #1 has two small spine dents, so does the #2 (the marks on the back near the spine must be the scanner, I don't see them on the book.. #3 has a more serious bend under the issue number (NCB) Bin is $10 for the 3.

Deathmate Black 1st Full Generation 13, plus the Blue Foil edition as a bonus. There is a tiny bit of color loss (flecks?) on two spine corners on the back, very minimal. I don’t see any damage on the blue book. $10

Mortal Kombat #1 Special Edition,and #1 Collector's Item Mortal Kombat Blood and Thunder plus #2, 3, 4, 5, 6,

 

#1 Special Edition 1 tiny spine tick, one slight ncb indention.

 

Collector’s Item has 4-5 spine bends (do not break color and a little bit of color loss (flakes) on the spine. #2, Two small ncb spine bends, a very slight amount of color flaking on the spine.

#3, 1 non color breaking spine bend, a tiny bit of color flaking at the bottom of the spine.

#4. At least 4, non color breaking spine dents.

#5. 4 very slight spine dents (ncb)

#6. From what I see on eBay this is one of the hotter issues and this one looks good. There are two tiny spots of what may be color flaking on the spine. A small ncb bend upper right.

Mortal Kombat Goro The Prince of Pain. #1, 2, 3. #1 is very nice, there might be a tiny color fleck mid spine, you can see it on the back cover, it might be part of the book, the front cover is white. #2, an impact bend at the bottom of the spine, a spine line above the bottom staple and at least 2 ncb small bends in the spine. #3, has a few light indentations near the spine, no color breaks that I see. I’ve scanned the #1, the 2 (first Violator) #4 and the #9 (first Angela) and the #50 and added descriptions of just those books. I have scans of the rest, just ask if you need more of a description of any of the other books.

#1. 1st Spawn. Nice looking book with a very tiny corner bend lower right and several spine ticks.

#2. Beautiful copy with a tiny color fleck lower right.

#4. There are several spine dents.

#9, First Angela. Very nice copy with 2 small indentations near the spine.

#50 Tiny scuff at the bottom of the spine, otherwise very nice copy.
