I got this 1956 TEC Key from a fellow awesome Boardie. It happens to be my under-copy now. For a 2.5 it presents amazing with innocuous water damage/staining not affecting what is in fact a glossy sharp complete looking cover. The 2 scans don't do it justice so I included a photo too.

DC - 1960

JUSTICE LEAGUE OF AMERICA # 1

Condition: GOOD PLUS - with Detached Covers

Supple Off-White to White pages

NOTES: Solid and supple with detached covers, which are firmly attached to each other with 2 small splits where the staples were. Small piece missing from the top right FC corner, which shows edge wear and color breaking creases. BC is nicer. The staples are in tight all throughout the pages. Of note is a small square gray marker blemish on the top-most left margin corner of the left centerfold page (see last photo).

This comic is 100% complete with detached covers and NO restoration whatsoever.

SENSATION COMICS # 95 (DC, 1950)

GRADE: GOOD with Supple Off-White to almost White Interior pages - tape repair

Seller's Notes: This later issue of Sensation Comics is impossible to find and considered 'scarce.' My Comic Shop graded this a Good Minus, however, I really think it is closer to a Good Plus. A solid, supple, glossy and attractive copy. There is tape repair on the spine and also a long piece of tape on the interior edge of the Front cover, which has foxing. The book has both staples, which are in tight on the outside as well as tight in the center-fold.

This comic is 100% complete with no restoration and tape repairs.

EXCITING COMICS # 60 (Nedor Publications, 1948)

Grade: FINE PLUS PLUS (Qualified due to below noted manufacturing error)

Seller's Notes: A solid, glossy and sharp comic with supple creme to off-white pages. 2 tight staples on the FC and CF. Foxing on both sides of the back cover plus the top right interior BC corner has an off colored crease with fading. The top right FC corner shows wear. No staining just foxing.

Manufacturing / production of this comic is very unique. This book was given the wrong interior pages at the time of production. The contents of this book are actually the complete contents of Startling Comics # 50, which was published by the same company on the same month and year of March 1948 as Exciting Comics # 60.

This comic is 100% complete but with wrong interior and no restoration.

Lou Fine classic cover plus eye-popping interior art here.

Asking Price: $_________

MOVED TO ANOTHER FORUM

Fantastic Comics # 4 (Fox, 1940)

GRADE: GOOD PLUS with fairly supple Cream to Off-White pages - old tape repair along spine most likely done to reattach covers to interior pages.

One of Fox's earliest. Lou Fine cover, and interior artwork from George Tuska, Alex Blum, and Don Rico. The Photo-Journal Guide to Comic Books rates this "scarce."

Seller's Notes: Glossy front cover. Tape runs down the entire front cover spine and almost all of the corresponding back cover spine. There's some tape on the interior side spine of both covers. There are 2 small pieces of tape placed on some interior pages by the spine (mostly towards the center pages). Old moisture damage shows on the bottom of the interior front cover and first page. The book is solid and easy to handle / read. The interior pages have some edges that are a bit torn and slightly tattered with a few longer tears here and there. You cannot see the staples but you can feel them both through the covers.

This thick comic is 100% complete with no restoration yet tape repairs as noted.

THIS LOT OF 4 OLD DELL COMICS is completely unrelated to my current thread but I didn't want to start a new one.

Take them all 4 for $_______

MOVED TO ANOTHER FORUM

Note: All 4 books have supple pages and are complete. A nice mid-grade lot.

BUGS BUNNY'S CHRISTMAS FUNNIES # 8 (1957) - Fine minus - A solid, glossy square bound book. Big crease with some paper loss in middle of spine by the T in GIANT. Also a big crease starting at the C in COMIC and going straight across to Bug's tail. Creases on bottom right front cover corner.

MARGE'S LULU and TUBBY in ALASKA # 1 (1959) - Fine - Minor tear on bottom of square bound spine. Solid and flat high gloss front cover. Long crease running down the front cover that's almost parallel to the spine.

DAFFY # 15 (1958) - Fine Minus - Glossy with tiny piece of the corner missing on bottom right of front cover. Some spine wear. One page has a rip in the outside margin and some page corners are folded back.

MARGE'S TUBBY # 42 (1960) - Fine Plus Plus - Supple white interior pages with faint and minor wear. A bright, tight, clean and fresh looking book. The slightest of spine roles and very minor wear on spine area near roll.

One of the sweetest (and a bit psychedelic) L.B. Cole Romance covers IMO

Asking Price is $_______

POPULAR TEEN-AGERS ROMANCES # 9

STAR PUBLICATIONS 1951

Condition: VERY GOOD/VG+ with fairly supple off-white page.

Grading notes: Looks FN/VF but has an old moisture stain that runs from the bottom right FC corner all the way through the book to the BC corresponding corner and shows on both interior cover side corners as well. The stain is about 2 inches long and 1.5 inches wide. There is also an innocuous non-color breaking subscription crease that runs down the center of the book. 2 tight and clean staples on the outside and in the CF. Interior sides of the covers show no foxing and are off-white. Solid, tight, glossy.

Comic is 100% complete with no restoration.

PRICE for this iconic issue is: $588.00

BRENDA STARR # 14

Four Color, 1948

GRADE: lower-grade - tape and replaced staples

Seller's Comments: A prior owner taped the spine and re-stapled the comic. Invisible tape runs along almost the entire spine except for a 2 inch section between the staples, which remains split. There is another piece of tape on the bottom right FC edge. This copy remains solid and fairly supple with a glossy FC. A nice back cover remains off-white with light foxing on both interior side covers. Several small edge tears and corner chips on the right side of the FC. Pages are fairly supple and appear off-white with some creaminess on the edges. Perhaps 1/2 of the interior pages have some small cuts and paper loss on the bottom edges, which do not interfere with the panel art.

This comic has all the interior pages and no restoration other than the tape and replaced staples.

MY ROMANTIC ADVENTURES # 54

ACG 1955

Condition: VERY GOOD MINUS/VG

Fairly supple Off-White to White interior pages.

GRADING COMMENTS: This is a tight-by-the-staples, glossy, sharp and supple comic. Tight centerfold. Bottom right cover corner is missing along with a similar chip out on the 1st interior page corner. A light fading foxing strip is on the right side edge of the front cover along with a bend and fold on the top right front cover corner. Small stain on the front cover too. The back cover shows nicely despite obvious fading spots and stains that appear intermittently on some interior pages. There is some red foxing manufacture bleed-through on the interior sides of both covers.

This comic is 100% complete with no restoration of any kind.
