Could this still make a 9.8?

I have a beautiful copy of a X-Men 266

 

- no spine ticks

- white pages

- high gloss

 

but, there's a questionable corner

I was thinking no as well.

Even if this was production related I don't think it makes it to 9.8

If the book is otherwise flawless, I think it could hit a 9.8.

 

If you sub it as is, I would say it would help to carefully bend the corner back, before putting the book into a mylite2/fullback.

 

I don't see any color breaking, that may be its saving grace...if there is not dulling/abrasion/paper chip out at that corner.....hard to say bc the corner is bent back.

 

That said, I would suggest pressing it first, if you plan on subbing it.
