PGM Amazing Spiderman 122

Hi,

If anyone could grade my ASM 122 I'd be very grateful, I don't buy a lot of silver age so I'm to very inexperienced in grading them.

 

General Comments:

2/3 spine ticks, break colour

Bottom left conner rounding

Multiple stains on back

There are a few other minor issues.

4.5- Great book. I have always loved the artwork on the front cover and this copy presents so well. The staining is just too noticeable and frequent on the BC to grade any higher IMO.

 

I am confident this book is not a low grade copy. most of it is just too nice. I am also confident there is just too much staining to put it in the upper midgrade category (6.0/6.5).

DKThanks for the grade, any chance of restoration e.c.t to remove staining on the back? If so any recommendations on who might be able to perform the radiation?

I wouldn't try it. I would just enjoy the book as is.

 

Matt nelson is a well known restorer that could clean & press the book but even if that type of staining would clean up it would require use of chemicals that would be detectable afterwards in a restoration check. In other words the book would be restored so any value gained by removing the defects would most likely be lost by the book being worked on.
