ATLAS MARVEL COMICS 1953

Condition: FINE MINUS with supple off-white to white page.

 

"One Man Too Many," "Wedding Bells For Wendy" (art by Al Hartley), "Too Much in Love" (pencils by Gene Colan?), and "Leave Me My Love" (art by Jay Scott Pike).

 

Grading notes: Looks FN/VF but has a small chip out of the bottom left back cover corner. Crease on bottom right corner of FC. Light marker line on FC intersects the r in the title LOVERS. 2 tight staples and a tight center-fold. Some light and common red manufacturing bleed-through on the interior covers. Light general wear overall on a very solid, glossy and sharp comic that is hard to find esp in this nice of shape.

 

Comic is 100% complete with No restoration. Full of fabulous interior art.

GRADING COMMENTS: A tight & glossy book with very light spine wear. The bottom of the spine has a very small crease / line. The back cover has a small little patch of warpness on the bottom corner area.

DAREDEVIL # 175 (1981) - FINE MINUS - Spine has lots of indents and front cover has some fairly long creases from poor storage. Small moisture spot-stain on top of back cover. Back cover has some corners bends, a tight manufacturing crease and other creases too.

 

PETER PARKER SPEC. SPIDER-MAN # 27 (KEY FRANK MILLER ISSUE) (1979) - NEAR MINT MINUS/NM - Supple white pages, tight, glossy and sharp with several spine indents and flawless back cover.

 

DOCTOR STRANGE # 52 (1976) - NEAR MINT / NEAR MINT PLUS - Newsstand

fresh book with white supple pages. An unforgiving black cover shows incredibly little in spine indents.

 

MARVEL TEAM-UP # 105 (1981) - NEAR MINT / NEAR MINT PLUS - Newsstand fresh book with white supple pages and tiny spine striations.

 

MARVEL TALES # 106 (CLASSIC 1st PUNISHER REPRINT) (1979) - VERY FINE MINUS - Light overall wear in the form of one diagonal front cover bottom right corner crease and some tight little creases. Supple snow white pages.

WARLOCK # 13 (1976) - VERY FINE / NEAR MINT - Newstand fresh with supple off-white pages. About 10 little lines on spine. Tiny nick on bottom of spine and less than sharp bottom corner. Beautiful white back cover.

 

IRON FIST # 10 (1976) - NEAR MINT MINUS to barely NEAR MINT - Newstand fresh book with off-white to white supple pages. Tiny lines on spine on a very sharp looking book with little corner ding.

 

ASTONISHING TALES # 36 - DEATHLOK (1976) - VERY FINE PLUS - A near mint but for the crease / storage damage to the top left corner area of the back cover. Supple white pages.

 

SUB-MARINER # 49 (1972) - NEAR MINT MINUS - Tiny little corner crease on top of spine. Blue manufacturing dye on back cover and outside tops of the interior pages. Supple off-white to white pages.

 

MARVEL TEAM-UP # 53 (1977) - VERY FINE - Light storage creases with little fold on bottom right front cover corner and minor wear. Supple close to all white pages.

 

DEFENDERS # 22 (1975) - VERY FINE to barely a VERY FINE PLUS - Light corner wear on spine tips and tiny corner creases. Supple close to all white pages.

This book feels newsstand fresh. A handsome and tight book with sharp corners. A nice white back cover. There are slight indents that you can feel if you gently move your finger along the spine. I have owned this book for over 35 years. Great pressing candidate. This book is 100% complete and unrestored.
