Need to name (9) original sketches :

I went to a lot of Conventions 1996-2006; but took horrible notes.

Please help me identify the following sketches: THANKS!

 

(#1.) A CrossGen artist --

 

 

(#2.) Snyder? I don't even know the character.

 

 

(#3.) I have met George Jeanty many times, but this isn't how he usually signs ...?

 

 

 

(#4.) Howard. Must be a HELLBOY artist.

 

 

(#5.) CH I've met Clayton Henry?

 

 

(#6.) This has got to be a GI Joe artist from the 2000's.

 

 

(#7.) Christian Gossett, right?

 

 

(#8.) Chad Walker, Fighting American?

 

 

(#9.) Could be another "Awesome Comics" artist?

#2 is definitely John K. Snyder.

If #8 is Chad Walker, I'm confident #9 is Eric Walker as they were both due to pencil Prophet for before the Awesome Comics went under and recognise the #9 sketch as their female Prophet. I think two issues were published.

Actually, it isn't. John K. Snyder always put a "3" in his signature, since his full name is John K. Snyder III. So, no, it is definitely NOT him. Sorry.

Ian Churchill is the cover artist on that particular variant.

Based on my one example, I doubt it's Josh Howard.

All I can say is that I have taken to putting the artists name on the back of every sketch I get just to be sure I don't have this issue. Even if I am sure I will remember, it may not be me who has to figure it out some day!!

Me, too, and I post them on the CAF with the artist id and background information on why I bought it.

Getting closer --

 

The sketches before this one are dated 2002.

I'm thinking the squiggle under his signature says '03' & is not part of his signature.

In 2003, I attended DragonCon & HeroesCon.

The 2 previous sketches were Cully Hamner & Georges Jeanty.

I plan to next see which CON these two were set-up at in 2003.
