Hi, just purchased some books and about to send in for grading. Curious about everyone's thoughts on the grades and if I should send to CCS first. Thanks.

Looks 8.5 or 9ish to me assuming those are not small tears on the bottom FC.

They are tiny tears. I was thinking 8-8.5 when I bought it. Hope I am right.

CCS, then CGC.

 

The bottom of the cover has overhang, which could be pressed...the corners would also benefit from a press, especially the bottom corners.

 

Chances are there is some waviness from the glued spine that isn't visible in the scan, too.

 

Far as the chipping on the bottom of the FC, I am pretty sure those are printer's chips i.e. production related.

 

They are common on older books, a good example of a book that this defect effects most copies is ASM 361.Most slabbed 9.8's of that book have printer's chips on the bottom of the cover.

Yeah, I do agree those are printer chips but does it look to you guys like there is perhaps a little more damage in the general area than just the printer chips? Like the printer chips perhaps got extended slightly?

i think this one can be helped with a press. It would be nice to get an 8.5-9.0 after a press. I would be happy with that.
