Picked this book up a few years ago, and was wondering what thought of the wrap and date stamp on the back cover. Pages are off-white and the cover is glossy and bright, but that back cover?!!??...

It's a high grade book. The mis-wrap doesn't do much since it would not have been ultra high grade anyway.

 

I'd say an 8.5. Hard to tell on the bumps on the top.

Wrap and date stamp are non-issues.

 

Looks like fingerprinting to the lower left edge of the back cover, and possible light water damage to the ULBC . . . still within the VF range:

 

7.5 possibly an 8.0 in hand, depending upon the severity of the above points. Without either of those question marks could be an 8.5 . . .

I agree with the 7.5 grade.

Shame cause the front looks 9.0...

It looks lighter, but I wouldn't call it a stain. I'm sticking with my grade of 8.0/8.5.

If it's cat's pee, then the book gets a 2.0 deduction for nastiness.

I think the book is an 8.5, maybe a 9.0 if there is no moisture damage/stain. Can you confirm whether that is moisture damage or just a spot that is lighter than the rest of the cover?

I don;t see it getting any less than an 8 and 8.5 is certainly not out of the question. Regardless it is a very nice book. And the miswrap being on the back is a godsend! Makes the front look all the better!
