Suzies for youzies

Hi everyone, I've a small lot of 4 Golden Age issues of Suszie to list today. All issues appear to be unrestored/conserved and are low to mid-grade, GD to FN on avg.

First the rules

Pricing is going to be pretty firm considering how hot GGA books are right now.

 

First up is Suzie 51, everyone's favorite GGA cover. Cover is attached at both staples, book shows moderate wear creasing is evident in the scans. Bug chews at the bottom of the spine, top of the spine is split about 1" to 1/14", a section of the back cover is barely hanging on about the size of the tip of your thumb. Bug chews to tin interior top beginning at pg 5 to the end of the book but does not impact the back cover. Moderate spine wear, creasing and light tears, small tears at the bottom front cover but no large pieces missing. Pages are supple with no brittleness. A raw VG sold on Ebay last week for $500+, this G/G+ copy will cost you $325.

Suzie 52 swimsuit Suzie, front cover presents very nicely, reds and yellows in the banner are very bright. Light water stain to the bottom left corner with a small water stain. Spine roll, bottom left corner is frayed as is the top left corner at the spine. Paper chip off the very tip of the top right corner. Light creasing to the spine, cover is firmly attached. Interior pages have some mystery staining at the bottom of the pages on 6 pages of the first story, might be old grease. Light staining and browning to the back cover, bottom right corner at the spine is frayed and impact creased. Pages are CR/OW but still supple. VG+/FN $75 ( I can find no solo sales data for this book so the price is a shot in the dark)

Suzie 53, front cover presents very well, spine roll and light creasing to the spine. Obvious and worse flaw is the top right corner is chipped away, crease to the lower right corner as well. Cover is firmly attached interior has some browning, back cover has some light browning but no stains. Interior tear on pg 4 through to pg 5 of the second story. Lingerie panels and Suzie in the tub. VG+, no sales data again, $75.

Suzie 55, lowest grade of the bunch. Spine has been turned into a buffet by bugs but it still attached at both staples. Spine roll, chunk out of the spine either due to bugs, chipping or both. Bottom of the cover has a 1/2" piece missing , chip out of the front cover to the right of the 10 cent price. Suzie gets the once over from her lecherous boss in the first story and sports a Veronica Lake hairdo. Back cover looks like it was damaged at the printer, 5 horizontal 5" slices into the back cover that do not go through to the pages under the cover. Pages in the first story have some light staining, might be grease, pages are OW. $40
