Those out-of-focus pix you're refering to were shot on a $60. Poloroid camera about half the size of a cupcake. I wasn't going to buy a good scanner until I saw how this "ebay" thing would work out. Techno-Newbie mistake.

You can get a very serviceable scanner for under $100 these days. I would definitely invest in one regardless of your ebay plans.

As far as the scanner goes, money wasn't a problem: I'm rich.

I had a HP Scanjet 5590 delivered for a little over $200.

Not legal-sized but including the 4 slide holder.
